From community projects such as food co-operatives to people campaigning against the cuts, there are a lot of ideas taking root in in Cardiff as people organise to make positive changes in the city and further afield.

My name’s Amy Hall and I first moved to Cardiff in 2007 from Cornwall. Since then I have been involved in a variety of campaigns and community projects. I’m also a journalist and currently studying for a Postgraduate Diploma in Journalism at Cardiff University.

Take Root is a central place where people can connect with others interested in grassroots change in Cardiff, and the rest of the community.

There’s a lot going on in Cardiff but for people who are new to the city or haven’t been involved before it can be difficult to find out information, or intimidating to get involved with tight knit groups.
