Some interesting events coming up in Cardiff from 14.11.11 to 20.11.11. Let me know if you have anything to add.

Monday 14 November

Occupy Cardiff: What next? 8-11pm. Tair Pluen, St John’s Street. Come and discuss where to go next.

Tuesday 15 November

Support the November 30 Strike Against The Cuts. 7.30 – 9pm. Suite 1, Ground Floor,Transport House, 1 Cathedral Road. Cardiff Trades Council and Cardiff Against the Cuts are holding a joint meeting build support for the strike action planned for 30th November against the savage programme of austerity cuts to public services.

Wednesday 16 November

Food Not Bombs meeting, 7pm. The Red and Black Umbrella. Come along and get involved on a regular Food Not Bombs in Cardiff.

Thursday 17 November

Stand Up For Climate Justice with Rehad Desai. 7pm. Transport House, 1 Cathedral Road. Rehad Desai is one of South Africa’s leading social-political documentary film makers. Also a trade unionist and climate activist, he is central to the mobilisations in South Africa and is touring the UK to raise awareness of the consequences of climate change, as well as encourage people in the UK to take part in the International Day of Action over climate change. Other speakers include Phil Thornhill, National Co-ordinator of Campaign against Climate Change and local environmentalist and union activists. Chair – Marianne Owens, Vice-Chair, PCS Wales.

Cardiff Feminist Network – festival planning meeting. 6.30-8.30pm. Location TBC but either Milgi or Bar 33. After the success of the 2010 event Cardiff Feminist Network will be putting on another festival in 2011.
