Cardiff is mega busy at the moment. Here’s some interesting events coming up in Cardiff from 28.11.11 to 04.12.11. Let me know if you have anything to add.

Monday 28 November

Defend the Arrested Cardiff Occupiers. 6 people were arrested during the removal of the first Occupy Cardiff camp. Two of them were charged and will be in court. 8am. Cardiff Magistrates Court.

Legal Observer Training. 1.30pm. Occupy Cardiff site, Transport House. For those who want to act as legal observers or just learn more about the role. There will be another short version of this training at 7pm at The Great Tax Invasion.

The Asylum Journey film night and discussion. Discussion about the journey asylum makers make to the UK and their experiences once they get here followed by the short film Living With Illegals. Vulcan Lounge, Cathays. Free entry. 8pm. Organised by Cardiff STAR.

Wednesday 30 November

November 30 is a nationwide public sector strike and there’s loads of support events going on in Cardiff. Any more let me know!

Teach Out. A chance for students to find out what the strike is all about or support their lecturers. Speakers include Dr Andy Williams on Reclaiming The Media and Heiko Feldner on The Economic Crisis. Cardiff University Main Building, Park Place. 10 – 11.30am.

Pension Justice March & Rally. Organised by Wales TUC. 11.30 – 2pm assembling at City Hall. March will end at the SWALEC Stadium for a rally at 1pm.

Busk Against The Cuts 3: The 99% Strikes Back. 12-3pm. Anerin Bevan statue, Queens Street. Here’s how they expplain it:“We’re asking for you muso types to come down and have a HUGE 99% JAM from 12pm at the Aneurin Bevan statue onwards. Double basses, banjos, guitars, singers, break dancing troupes, sax players, dohl players, tambourinists, shoutists – get on over!”

Cardiff Uncut action. Meet at the Aneurin Bevan statue on Queens Street. 1pm. Action involving street performance.

There will also be picket lines all over the city from the early hours.

The Arab Revolutions & Their Impact on the Middle East. Public meeting organised by Cardiff UNA. Keynote speaker: John Rees co-founder of Stop the War Coalition and authour of The People Demand: A Short History of the Arab Revolutions. Temple of Peace, Edward v11 Avenue. 7-10pm.

Saturday 3 December

Cardiff Taffs Trading meeting – Cardiff’s Community Currency. Embassy Café Cathays Community Centre, Cathays Terrace. 1-4pm

Orchard Cardiff exhibition opening. Learn about the history of fruit trees in Cardiff, explore what is currently growing and plot your own fruit tree on the ‘Fruit Tree’ map. The exhibition will run until February 2012. Mulled apple juice and fruit cake will be available. Learning Suite, Cardiff Story museum, The Old Library, Cf10 1BH. 2.30 – 4pm. Free entry.
